Privacy Policy
PAX (Price Alert eXperience) by ADRAVON
Last updated: 3 April 2026
Your privacy matters to us. PAX is built to help you find the best prices across Indian e-commerce stores. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. What We Collect
a) Data collected automatically
- Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated ID stored locally on your browser. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account. This ID is automatically rotated every 30 days.
- Product pages you visit — when you browse a supported store (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.), PAX reads the product name, price, and URL on that page to show you comparisons and track price history.
- Daily activity count — a simple count of how many price checks you perform each day. This helps us understand how people use the extension.
b) Data you choose to provide
- Google account — if you sign in to enable cashback, we receive your name and email from Google. We use this only to identify your cashback balance.
- Price alerts — when you set a target price for a product, we store the product details and your target price so we can notify you when the price drops.
- Auto-buy preferences — if you configure auto-buy for flash sales, your target price and settings are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers.
2. Why We Collect It
- To compare prices across stores and show you the best deal
- To build price history charts so you can see trends
- To send you notifications when prices drop to your target
- To calculate and track your cashback earnings
- To understand aggregate usage patterns (how many daily users, most checked stores) so we can improve the extension
3. Where Your Data Is Stored
- Supabase (cloud database, Mumbai region) — product data, price history, alerts, cashback records, and anonymous activity logs
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — used only to deliver price drop notifications to your browser
- Your browser (chrome.storage.local) — auto-buy settings and cached data. This never leaves your device.
4. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your data to anyone
- We do not share your data with advertisers
- We do not read your passwords, payment details, or any form data
- We do not track your browsing on non-shopping pages — the extension only activates on supported e-commerce sites
- We do not use your data to build advertising profiles
5. Affiliate Links
When you click “Buy” through PAX, the link may include an affiliate tag (via CueLinks). This is how we earn revenue to keep PAX free. The affiliate tag does not change the price you pay — it simply lets the store know PAX referred you, and we receive a small commission. A portion of this commission is shared back with you as cashback.
6. Data Retention
- Price history data is retained to provide long-term price trend charts
- Anonymous device IDs are rotated every 30 days — old IDs are not linked to new ones
- If you uninstall the extension, your local data (auto-buy settings, cache) is automatically deleted by Chrome
- Cashback records are retained as long as your account is active
7. Your Rights Under India's DPDP Act 2023
You have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the extension
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
8. Children
PAX is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and notify users through the extension.
10. Contact
